Web Tally
Turn a phone, tablet, or browser tab into a tally monitor — the lightweight page for when receivers are unavailable or extra screens are needed.
Applies to the kit and the Free edition
Before you start
- 09 · Switcher Integration done (the data source)
- A phone, tablet, or PC on the same network as the device
Opening the page#
- The red Web Tally button in the sidebar — opens a new tab.
- The copy icon next to it — copies an address your phone can open (based on the address you used for the console). Paste it on the phone.
- Direct entry —
http://device-IP/tally
No auth
Local-network assumption, no authentication.
Reading the screen#
| Element | How to read |
|---|---|
| Connection dot | Green = connected / red = down |
| Camera grid | 20 tiles by default (5 columns); tile number = camera number |
| Tile color | Red = PGM, green = PVW, dark gray = OFF (both = red) |
| Tap a tile | Full-screen for that camera (huge number + label) → tap anywhere to return |
Handling disconnections#
- On a drop, colors stay and only the dot turns red — no error screen.
- Automatic retries at 1s → 2s → 5s (reset on connect).
- A long-red dot means check the phone WiFi (and the device AP) first.
Page settings#
| Setting | Range · default | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Max camera number | 1-20 · default 20 | How many cameras the grid shows (set 8 for an 8-camera show) |
| Tiles per row | 2-8 · default 5 | Columns — -/+ applies and saves instantly |
Settings live in this browser only (not device settings — a different device starts from defaults). Font size adapts to the column count automatically.
Concurrent viewers
Multiple phones can receive the same screen at once (cap 12 clients, counted with live console connections).
- Grid renders and the dot is green
- Colors change in real time as the switcher cuts
